Introduction
Used by tons of PGA Tour players and they don’t get paid for using it. I do walking scoring for a local PGA event and I can personally assure you I have seen tour pros frequently use Sonartec products. Their Mid Transition Club Series uses their patented Driving Cavity™ Technology that has proven itself in numerous of their other clubs. The club comes in five models ranging from 17 to 25 degrees. The stock shaft is the really, really good UST iRoD™ Transition hybrid shaft. I have iRoD™ shafts in my fairway wood and one of my utility – hybrid clubs. Really outstanding!! Price is $199 and well worth it. Can I get a steel shaft? No, they don’t have one at all and the PGA Tour Pros that use this club use the graphiteCan I get a graphite shaft?Yes and it is one of the best graphite shafts available for utility – hybrid clubs. They use the UST iROD shaft that was specifically designed by UST and Sonartec, working together, to take advantage of the Sonartec technology found in the Md. It is the same shaft the tour pros use. I use UST iRod shafts in my three wood and one of my utility – hybrid golf clubs and can attest to the shafts performance. Features of the Sonartec Md Transition ClubSonartec technology merits some attention on this site. All Sonartec’s clubs use their patented Sonartec Driving Cavity™. The Driving Cavity™ actually raises the Center of Gravity (COG) and creates a penetrating ball flight that can cut through the wind and eliminate the balloon effect common to other clubs on the market. It also maximizes the transfer of power between the club head and the ball reducing the friction between the ground and the club at impact. The Driving Cavity places the mass of the club head perfectly on line with the ball, giving the Sonartec Md an explosive impact off the clubface.
The Driving Cavity also allows the weight to be redistributed to the heel and toe of the club. As with other perimeter weighted utility – hybrid golf clubs this allows for a larger sweet spot and better forgiveness on miss hits. This weight redistribution also assists with a feeling of better control of the clubhead.
Models of the Sonartec Md utility – hybrid golf clubsThey have four currently available models range from 17 degrees up to 25 degrees. They are called by the clubs they replace and are the 1i/4w (17 degrees), 2i/5w (19 degrees), 3i/7w (21 degrees), 4i/9w (23 degrees) and 5i/11w (25 degrees). This makes selection easier in this utility – hybrid golf club since the first number (for example 1i) corresponds to the iron your could replace it with and the second number (for example 4w) corresponds to the wood you could replace. They also have a left handed version in the 17, 19 and 21 degree models. They also have numerous flexes available from “A” flex for senior golfers up to “x” for the tour level, very fast golf swing. Not all flexes are available for each club model. To order any of the models listed above just click on it or follow this link: buy Sonartec Md Transition Clubs
